Why be a Big Brother and Big Sister?

Being a Big Brother and Big Sister is one of the most rewarding things you can do for a child and for yourself! I have been the child who had a Big Sister and I have been a Big Sister for a few children and I know that it truly makes a difference for all that are involved! I have great respect for the people who work in this organization and all that they do for the children and the adults. Please know that you don't need to be a super hero just someone to spend time with a child and make their world a brighter place with your care and attention. I am passionate about BBBS because I know it truly works! Remember this generation of children is our future and this is your chance to ensure that our youngsters are on the right path. I hope that you will consider being a BBBS, below are listed some specific reasons to be a BBBS! Happy Valetines Day

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. We have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country - including yours.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua's Mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children who are primarily from single parent homes. This is accomplished by matching children with caring, committed volunteers from the community, in a professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationship.
